WASHINGTON, DC — After a four-day search involving an entire production team, his family and the local police, a valuable Illustrator was finally discovered buried deep in a publisher’s tangled FTP site.

“I don’t know how it happened,” said the Illustrator after reconnecting with his family. “The thing just ate me up.  I was simply trying to find a couple of files.”

As it turns out, the production team ended their relationship with their clunky FTP site months earlier when they started using the Appingo system.

“I guess I forgot to tell him that we’re now using the Appingo system to manage all of our art files,” said the team’s Art Buyer. “My bad.”

When asked about the decision to switch from the FTP workflow, the Production Editor referred to their old FTP site as a “riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma—you know, like Churchill said.”

“The Appingo Art Log has made all of our lives easier—from our illustrators to our art managers to our compositors. And all of that makes my life easier!” the Production Editor added.

When finally introduced to the Appingo system, the Illustrator was once again excited to do his job. “For us illustrators, FTP sites have always been a serious job hazard.  After this last experience, I thought I was going to have to give it all up and go back to waiting tables. This Appingo thing has literally saved my life.”
