LONG ISLAND, NY— Yesterday, a high-profile production executive was spotted managing the production of several major book projects while enjoying the sun and sipping what appeared to be a frozen cocktail on an East Hampton beach.
Armed only with an iPhone 3G and cooler full of Daiquiri mix, the executive spent the first hour of her beach visit, “assigning some tasks to my freelancers and watching my projects move forward without any intervention on my part.” According to her, since she started using Appingo to manage her projects, she’s “at least doubled her beach time.”
When asked about the dark glasses and fake nose, the unnamed executive responded, “If my boss knew how easy my job has become with the Appingo system, he’d definitely cut my salary in half!”
When later posed the question, her boss responded, “Well, she’s now managing twice as many projects for the same pay. Essentially, I have cut her salary in half. As far as the beach goes, I don’t care if she works from the moon so long as her schedules are on time and on budget. Shortly after lunch, the sun-soaked executive rushed from her prime beach spot in a small panic. Trouble with a project? Have to return to the office?
“Oh, no. I just forgot that I have an appointment with my masseuse at two. Gotta run!”
