A friend sent me an article about the way that entrepreneurs think. It sounds so much like me, I guess I’m an entrepreneur.
- They believe in a yet-to-be-made future that can substantially be shaped by human action;
- They don’t expend a lot of energy trying to predict it.
- They focus on understanding and working with the people who are engaged in the decisions and actions that bring it into existence.
At Appingo, we believe that there is a yet to be made future; that people create that future. We have always adopted the ‘Agile’ programming philosophy. We built tools and systems for the projects and problems that were and are in front of us now. We built those tools based on understanding the issues confronting people. We see the set of means, as possibilities leading to imagined ends.
As we move forward in bringing Appingo to market, we discover that there are many organizations that are interested in the systems that we have developed. They see ways to implement that will help them. Our solutions make sense because we built them for the same situations. Their implementations are often new. A breath of fresh air that we did not see in our original thinking.
New opportunities open.
Good for them. Good for us.
