I’m not a big ‘Hallmark Card’ guy. I’m not going to get all sappy, or snappy, or smart on you.
But this year has presented me with some things to ponder. I’ve watched new Dads with new sons and daughters; I’ve watched and and felt from up close and afar deaths and losses of fathers and mothers. Felt them and let them go.
From the most un-usual places, wisdom is delivered.

This is Mr. Amelia. He’s our landlord. He’s an upholsterer. He’s an ‘Old-School’ guy.
Mr. Amilia just said to me “My father told me that the best words are the ones you don’t say.”
Sometimes he’s right.
